Naturally, even a vaccinated puppy can experience health problems from time to time. Here is some of them:

diarrhea

In most cases, diarrhea is temporary. It can occur when your puppy is overly excited or nervous, or has eaten something that is not meant to be eaten at all, such as the contents of a trash can. However, diarrhea can also be a symptom of a serious illness, so don’t be shy and take your puppy to the veterinarian in case his condition bothers you. Vomiting

Your puppy will vomit from time to time and all he needs is your care and attention. However, like diarrhea, vomiting can also be a symptom of a serious illness, and you should always contact your veterinarian if your puppy is vomiting for more than 24 hours, is bloody, profuse, or is accompanied by other symptoms of illness. Again, watch for signs of dehydration as it can develop very quickly. And – trust your hunches: if you are very worried, it is better to immediately take the puppy to a veterinary clinic.

Ear infections and ear mites

Even if you clean your puppy’s ears conscientiously and regularly, he may get ear infections or ear mites from time to time.

Healthy ears should be shiny, free of discharge and wax, and pale pink on the inside. There should not be an unpleasant odor. If you’re concerned about your puppy’s ears, or if he feels discomfort, shakes them, or tries to scratch them, don’t be shy and take him to the vet.
